THE BERBER RUGS OF MOROCCO

Each Moroccan Berber rug and flat woven kilim is a one of a kind work of tribal art. Woven, strictly by hand, using the finest hand spun wool, cotton and silk, the mothers of the Berber tribespeople create these wonderous treasures.

Since 1975, I have been searching Moroccos' Atlas Mountains to bring you the finest rugs and flat woven kilims. My direct tribal purchasing allows me to offer these works of art at affordable prices.

From the High Atlas Mountains come the ultra lush wool Berber Rugs, with their vibrant colors in primitive and classical designs. The Berber wool is so famous, modern carpet manufacturers use their name in their product.

From the middle Atlas Mountains come the incredibly intricate Berber Kilims, with woven symbols that represent the only written language of a people whose origin remains a mystery. The Moroccan flatweaves variety of designs and colors are unparalleled.
